VidCC

Use VidCC alongside TubeBuddy

TubeBuddy helps you work on keywords, video metadata and packaging. VidCC explains what happens inside your video around measured retention drops and moments that hold attention. Together, they give you a practical way to review the click and the viewing experience.

Where each tool fits

TubeBuddy offers Keyword Explorer, SEO Studio and packaging tests, alongside other channel tools. VidCC's main offering is reviewing your measured retention alongside the footage and discussing possible changes with Viddy.

TubeBuddy also has a Retention Analyzer for reviewing patterns across videos. VidCC focuses on inspecting the playable footage at a timestamp and discussing editing options with Viddy.

The table describes a complementary workflow. Check TubeBuddy's current plan for access to its advanced tools and testing features.

Review clicks and retention together

A packaging result answers a different question from a retention curve. A title or thumbnail can help a viewer choose the video. Retention shows how viewing changes after playback begins.

Inspect both in context. A change in click-through rate can bring a different audience, so a later retention difference does not prove that a particular edit caused it. Keep the video format, topic and traffic sources in mind.

A workflow for your next upload

  1. Prepare the packaging

Use TubeBuddy's research and metadata tools where they fit your process. Record the title and thumbnail promise so you can check it against the opening after publishing.

  2. Keep the testing context

If your plan includes packaging tests, record the variants and the result. Check YouTube Studio for impressions, click-through rate and traffic context; a packaging test is not an experiment on the video edit itself.

  3. Review a measured moment

When usable retention data is available, open the eligible public video in VidCC. Watch the footage around a flagged timestamp and consider the explanation before choosing an edit.

  4. Choose one editing change

For example, shorten a repeated explanation or bring the promised demonstration forward. Save what you tried and review a comparable future upload, using Pulse check-ins if helpful.

Using both independently

VidCC does not import TubeBuddy test results or require a TubeBuddy subscription. Use each product separately and keep your own notes about packaging and editing choices. VidCC is an independent product and is not affiliated with TubeBuddy.

Connect your channel to VidCC through Google sign-in. Analysis requires a supported public video and usable measured retention. Explanations can be wrong, and no edit guarantees more views. The Free plan has a limited allowance; current usage and plans show what is available to your account.
